Rather than presenting polished narratives of healing, she explores the darker terrain most people are taught to hide: suicidal ideation, internal conflict, shame, survival, and the strange beauty that can emerge from confronting one’s own shadows. Her work asks viewers not simply to observe, but to recognize themselves.

Each piece is an act of translation—turning experiences that once felt unspeakable into something visible, tangible, and human. Through that process, her work becomes an invitation: to sit with discomfort, to dismantle shame, and to remember that even in the darkest moments, connection is still possible.

Kelly currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon, where she continues to develop multidisciplinary projects that challenge the boundaries between personal confession, public dialogue, and collective healing.

BRAvehe(art)ist showcase

The BRAVEHE(ART)IST showcase was a curation of artists and creatives who share heart-centered passion for supporting their community. My solo-exhibition featured paintings and mixed medium works, all apart of the “Stay Golden” collection. This collection encapsulates a traumatic and painful period of life, but is inspired by the determination to survive and the necessity of staying true to one’s self through the most challenging of times.

progression

“Progression,” is the adaptation of the “Stay Golden” collection. Inspired by some of the darkest moments and most challenging experiences, I sought to transform this darkness into works of art and that gives texture to emotions. This process has allowed me to heal from so much and now become a vital tool in my creative practice and personal life. I aim to share this tool, my art, and my story in order to open safe and honest conversations around mental health and raise suicide awareness. This collection was debuted at Maya Moon Collective as part of their featured artist series.
