Hey friend, My name is Kelly (my friends call me Kell) and I’m an artist native to San Diego. I’m a mixed media artist and designer, working in a variety of industries, including marketing, exhibiting art, and tattoos.
In my work, I explore the relationships we have with stigmas and aim to dismantle them. Through the use of unexpected or “taboo” materials and art forms, I seek to question the validity of the societal stigmas that have oppressed, mislabeled, and misjudged so many for so long. My canvases become a personal story where intuition and heart-felt intention collide, giving rise to dynamic compositions that invite viewers to engage in a personal dialogue with the artwork and design.
